To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

A truth to carry
God names ashes, mourning, and heaviness before He speaks of beauty, joy, and praise. Hope does not require you to rename devastation as something pleasant. The ashes matter because something mattered enough to grieve. Beauty may emerge slowly: greater compassion, a softened judgment, an unexpected friendship, a renewed ability to receive joy, or courage to tell the truth. None of these cancels the loss. They reveal that loss is not the only thing God can grow from the ground of your story. Let Him plant rather than perform. Trees of righteousness become strong through seasons, not slogans.
