A truth to carry
Notice the order in this verse. You are God's workmanship first. Good works follow. The Creator does not value you as a tool that must remain productive to justify its place. He delights in what He has made, then invites His beloved creation to walk in prepared acts of goodness. In retirement, those works may be less visible and more personal. They may include listening without hurry, preparing a meal, praying faithfully, mentoring someone younger, or becoming a steady presence in a lonely person's week. You do not have to invent an impressive second career for your life to have purpose. Begin with the good that love has already placed near your feet.
