A truth to carry

Without the structure of work, days can blur. Monday may feel like Thursday, and a quiet afternoon may seem to disappear without evidence. The psalmist does not wait for an exceptional day before receiving it from God. This day - with its errands, limitations, weather, and unfinished questions - is the day the Lord has made. Rejoicing does not require constant cheerfulness. It is a posture of consent: "God, I will meet You in the day I have, not only in the day I wish I had." Give shape to the hours with a few gentle anchors: prayer, movement appropriate to your health, a useful task, connection, and rest. Let presence replace the pressure to make every day extraordinary.
