A truth to carry

Waiting can feel like doing nothing, especially when you are used to searching for a way to make life move faster. But biblical waiting is not passive resignation. It is a relationship of attention. You wait *on the Lord*. You keep turning toward Him while the answer, healing, decision, or change remains unfinished. The psalmist connects waiting with courage. That may surprise you. We often call courage the ability to act quickly. Yet sometimes courage is the ability to remain honest, patient, and open-hearted when you cannot force the next chapter to arrive. It is refusing to make a hurried choice simply because uncertainty is uncomfortable. God promises to strengthen the heart. This strength may not feel dramatic. It can be the grace to wait one more day without spiraling. It can be the wisdom to ask for help, to limit the information you consume, to keep a simple routine, or to let someone else sit with you in the unresolved place. Praise protects waiting from becoming empty. It gives your heart something to do besides speculate. You can bless God for His character while you wait for His guidance. You can say, “Lord, You are good, even here,” and allow that truth to steady you. You do not need to know how long the waiting lasts to practice courage today. The invitation is for this hour: wait on the Lord. He is not wasting the place where you cannot yet see the end.
