Scripture
Zechariah 4:10
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

A truth to carry
The first step into a new purpose may feel almost embarrassingly small. One phone call. One hour of volunteering. One page written. One invitation accepted. After a career with larger responsibilities, small beginnings can seem unimportant. God does not share that contempt. Small things reveal whether you can love the work without needing it to make you impressive. They allow new strength to grow without crushing pressure. Do not demand that a seed look like a tree. If an idea is good, wise, and consistent with Scripture, give it room to begin modestly. The Lord's eyes see the whole earth, including the small act of faithfulness no one else notices.
